The menu celebrates British food and produce of the South West. We have a strong focus on the traditional cuts of meat and fish that have fallen from favour, but lack nothing in flavour.
Carefully sourced, everything is bought directly from the producers and cooked with real care and imagination, making best use of the beating heart of the whole house, Hobbs House Bakery's wood fired oven.
There is a selection of local ales and ciders available as well as a select wine list.
The bistro is open on Friday, and Saturday evenings from 7.00pm.
The chef: Antony is a self taught chef who started off at Hobbs House Bakery five years ago. It was here that he became enthused by great bread, lardy cakes and local produce. He grafted his way up to became head chef at the award winning Coach and Horses in London, where he continued to bake, and pursued his passion for charcuterie and British food.
Antony is more than happy to cater for a vegetarian diet, and may be able to cater for other dietary requirements too. However, please advise in advance of dining, as the menu will not normally contain these options.

YOUNG LOCAL ARCHITECTS SHOWING AT HOBBS
Millar Howard Workshop will be showing a selection of their projects at Hobbs House Cafe & Bistro from the end of December and throughout January.
The projects on show explore their take on contemporary Cotswold architecture, fusing the traditional local materials and craft techniques with contemporary design.
As part of the exhibition they are also offering a drop-in architects surgery free to café goers on Tuesday-Thursday mornings from 9.30-12, where you can discuss any architectural query however big or small. Why not pop in and treat yourself to lunch or a coffee and cake while you browse, discuss and design!
