    Mulled Rum Recipe

    Ingredients

    • 2 cups of water
    • 1 cup of dark muscovado sugar
    • 1 dried chilli
    • 3 star anise
    • 1 small orange
    • 12 whole cloves
    • 1 cup of rum

    Kit

    Method

    1. Stud the orange with the 12 cloves
    2. In a small pan simmer the mulling ingredients together for 20 minutes
    3. Check the sugar has dissolved, remove the orange and allow to cool for 5 minutes
    4. Add 1 cup of rum to the mulling solution you've made
    5. Add 2 lumps of ice to each glass and pour over the warm mulled rum. Garnish with a slither of orange zest (cut into a Christmassy shape)
