Course of the month:
Our story
We are a fifth generation family business that has been baking the finest bread, cakes and pastries since 1920. Throughout the last 100 years we have been committed to being the very best for our people, communities and environment. We are the only British bakery to be a Certified B Corporation which means that we use our business as a force for good. B Corps are a global community that put people and the planet first.
Our delicious, handmade products are enjoyed in our five shops and right across the South West and beyond. Find them in farm shops, delis, restaurants and cafes. We are proud to work with many customers that share our values of sustainability and quality such as The National Trust, Boston Tea Party, and Gloucester Services.
Our bakery
We are a friendly and busy bakery making a wide range of artisan sourdoughs, overnight doughs, rolls, and speciality bread; many of which are award winning. Our confectionary team make a wide range of delicious loaf cakes, tray bakes and pastries.
The role
The day shift takes our lovely bakery products and transforms them to the customers specific requirements. This role will primarily focus on the packing of our bulk frozen orders but there will be a real mixture of tasks. You could be wrapping, slicing or helping with packing on-line orders.
You will be part of a close knit team and the successful person will be very hands on, flexible and hard working with the ability to deliver consistent, high quality work with good attention to detail. Attitude is more important than experience, although experience of working in a similar environment would be advantageous.
