Hours: Full time, Monday-Friday
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to join our team at Hobbs House Bakery. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for sales, a deep understanding of the bakery industry, and a commitment to driving growth while maintaining the integrity of our brand. The Sales Manager will be responsible for expanding our customer base, developing and executing sales strategies, and fostering strong relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the company’s growth objectives.
- Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Ensure customer satisfaction through personalized service and prompt resolution of inquiries.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and potential areas for growth. Provide regular feedback and insights to senior management to inform business decisions.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the sales team, setting clear objectives and ensuring that each team member is equipped with the tools and knowledge to achieve their targets. Foster a collaborative and motivated work environment.
- Sales Performance Monitoring: Track and analyse sales performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior management. Adjust strategies as necessary to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Brand Ambassador: Represent Hobbs House Bakery at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities. Uphold the company’s values and ensure that all sales efforts reflect the brand’s commitment to quality and sustainability.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth understanding of our product range, including the unique selling points of our artisanal bread and baked goods. Educate clients on our products and the benefits of choosing Hobbs House Bakery.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a sales management role, preferably within the food and beverage or bakery industry.
- Strong understanding of sales principles and the ability to execute strategies effectively.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Experience in leading and motivating a sales team to achieve targets.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and make informed decisions.
- Passion for the bakery industry and a commitment to quality and sustainability.
Hobbs House Bakery was established in the Cotswolds in the 1920s and we are a true family business, with 5 generations of baking experience. We are now bringing up the 6th generation of aspiring bakers.
