Christmas is a wonderful time of year for baking festive treats to share with family and friends. Here at Hobbs House Bakery we have filled this special class with a variety of delicious breads from around the world to inspire you. Studded with luxurious dried fruits and nuts and flavoured with aromatic spices and oils, we’ll be baking a light and airy Italian pandoro, a fun twist on marzipaned German stolen, a darkly nutty Finnish rye bread fragrant with spices and showing you how to add some sparkle to savoury breads perfect for parties.
Enriched, sweetened breads can often be tricky to get right, so our expert tutor will guide you through, step-by-step, with lots of baking tips and advice, giving you the confidence to bake with great results back at home. The class features a range of different techniques, flours and flavours so whether you are new to bread making or more experienced and looking for something different, this hands-on class has something for everyone.
The day will begin with coffee and pastries and end with a festive lunch. As well as taking home a bag full of bread you’ve baked, take the opportunity to stock up on your seasonal Hobbs House Bakery treats and get ahead of the game.

Information
Our School is located in the heart of Chipping Sodbury above the original Hobbs House Bakery and Butchery on the High Street.
School parking
There is free parking on the opposite side of the road from the Hobbs House Cookery School, places are limited or pay on the School side (max 2hrs stay).Alternatively there is a free 24hr Car park round the back of the school situated on Barnhill Road via Wickwar Road. Follow signs towards Waitrose and the car park can be found on the left hand side. The high street is a 2 minute walk through the link road.
Transport and taxis
The nearest train stations to Hobbs House School are Yate which is 1.7 miles and Bristol Parkway which is 6.6 miles. Chipping Sodbury Taxis are always at hand, 07891 190984.

Please inform us in advance of any food allergies or dietary requirements so where possible, we can do our best to adapt any refreshments provided to your individual needs.
Access requirements
Our School classrooms are on the first and second floor – accessed by stairs only. If mobility is likely to be a problem, please let us know. We will also do our best to accommodate any physical impairments or learning difficulties – please contact us to discuss.
Accommodation
Should you be travelling from afar, the local area has a great selection of beautiful hotels and guest
houses to rest your weary head. We would recommend the Moda House Hotel or The Rounceval
House Hotel located on the High Street in Chipping Sodbury. Outside of Chipping Sodbury Calcot
Manor is a spa hotel located about 15 minutes from the school and the Cross Hands Hotel is a 5
