Home Butchery course with Henry Herbert

Henry Herbert, chef, butcher and Fabulous Baker Brother, will guide you through your home butchery essential skills.

Henry will show you how to handle a knife and keep it razor sharp. You will take home some real meaty skills, learning how to use the whole animal, without wastage, to create a variety of show stopping dinners. This will include how to joint a whole chicken and make it into delicious kievs, stuffing the legs and using the carcass for stock; how to trim a piece of beef to be used for dicing and mincing; and how to make and knot the best home made sausages. Be part of this action-packed session, which includes coffee and pastries on arrival, making a delicious lunch for us all to enjoy with wine, and you will take away a recipe pack with some of your prepared food.

"The 'Herbert's' enthusiasm for their craft is infectious and soon us 'protégées' were stuffing sausages and tying butchers knots with string like we'd been doing it for years!" Emma Bradshaw
