    How To Freeze Our Bread

Freezing bread is the perfect way to keep bread fresh for up to 6 months. Whilst keeping bread in the fridge will make it go stale quicker, freezing it is the best way to keep it fresh. Freeze as soon as possible to lock in the freshness.

We like to slice it up before putting in the freezer so we only ever have to defrost what we need. To freeze, wrap it up tightly in one of our compostable wax paper bags that your online delivery will arrive in, or use cling film or a sandwich bag and then place it in the freezer.

When making toast, take a frozen slice straight from the freezer to the toaster with no need to defrost. If you need to defrost slices, simply spread them out, cover with a bag or tea towel and leave them at room temperature for a couple of hours.

If you have frozen a whole loaf, cover it and leave it out for 4-5 hours to defrost and then bake it for 10 minuets at 180 degrees, this will help to improve its texture.
