Who we are

Hobbs House Bakery was established in the Cotswold's in the 1920's and we are a true family business with five generations of baking experience.
We believe that handmade bread should be available to everyone. At our bakery in Chipping Sodbury our expert team of bakers produce an exceptional range of high quality breads, pastries and confectionery.

We bake daily a fantastic variety of products using our family recipes. Many of our breads are risen with our 63 year old sourdough starter. One third of our range is produced to Soil Association Organic Standards. We use traditional and modern methods and the finest ingredients to produce award winning products.

We have a thriving wholesale business throughout the South West plus four shops based in the Cotswold's and one in Bristol.

The role

The morning shift prepares a wide range of products including overnight doughs, artisan breads and roll production. There is a significant amount of hand moulding and oven work undertaken and you would be expected to be able to work as part of the team on multiple tasks. Attitude is more important than experience and whilst ideally we are looking for a proven baker we can offer full training with a development pathway.

Working hours are Sunday 8am-4pm, Monday to Friday 4am-12pm (Day off Thursday).
