Seasonal Confectionery Assistant (Mince Pies)

Job Title: Seasonal Confectionery Assistant (Mince Pies) 

Location: Main Bakery, Chipping Sodbury

Hours: 10am – 6pm                       Days: Monday - Friday (Saturday and Sunday off)

We’re looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Mince Pie Maker to join our team over the festive season. Attitude is more important than experience; but if you have bakery knowledge or worked in a similar environment before, that would be advantageous. This is a temporary role working up until Christmas. 

General Responsibilities

• To ensure you are fully conversant with Health & Safety and Food Hygiene procedures and that you adhere to company policies.
• Follow the whole process from making and dividing pastry, stamping out cases, filling and topping mince pies.
• To weigh up ingredients, produce the required number of mince pies per shift and to the correct standard. 
• Communicate appropriately and effectively with colleagues and internal customers at all times.
• Complete ingredient release forms as appropriate. 
• To undertake other duties of a similar nature as reasonably required by your line manager.

Skills and experience 

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team environment.

• Understanding of basic food hygiene and safety practices.
