    Tom Herbert

Tom is a fifth generation baker with hot bread in his genes and a mission to share handmade bread with the nation. Tom, like his grandfather before him, believes that anyone can bake, and has loved teaching baking to hundreds of people since 2002. Tom is the baking half of the Fabulous Baker Brothers, and runs our main bakery in Chipping Sodbury. His expert knowledge, passion for bread and baking puns making him an expert teacher.

    Henry Herbert

As a graduate from Westminster Catering College, fifth generation baker, fully-fledged butcher, and the other half of the Fabulous Baker Brothers, Henry is perfectly positioned to share his knowledge of all things meaty with you. Henry is giving British butchers a shake up, waking us up to modern tastes, and reviving the pride this country once had in meat. Henry was an early adopter of nose to tail butchery, continues to use these skills here in Chipping Sodbury and is eager to pass his expertise on. Henry’s courses

    Jane Grafton

The newest member of the team, a baking extraordinaire, Jane runs all of our Kids courses and brings her background in high end catering and expertise as a chef to the school.

    Trevor Herbert

Nobody could be more qualified to teach at the Hobbs House Cookery School than our managing director Trevor Herbert. If baking could be said to be in the blood, scraping sponge tins at the age of six laid the foundation for a lifetime of bread-baking passion. A few years on, Trevor is prepared to share his deep founded knowledge and experience with a new generation of bakers.

    Sam Wells

Sam is bringing his skills back to the home where he learnt them. Sam was the first baker at Hobbs House Bakery having survived his early days baking with strong tea and Bruce Springsteen. Sam is now having his turn at sharing those years of hard work with eager bakers; the strong tea and Bruce Springsteen are optional.
