Breakfast At The Bakery: Hosting Our Wholesale Customers

Every year, we like to open the doors to the bakery and welcome in our wonderful wholesale customers. It's a lovely opportunity for customers to come and see behind the scenes of the bakery, learn more about Hobbs and even get a sneak peak at this year's Christmas range.

For the first time, we decided to host a 'Breakfast at the Bakery', offering our customers a different view of our operations. It was great to see a different group of customers attend, with many having been customers of ours for years but never actually having visited the bakery. 

One of the main things we wanted to share during the morning was all the ways in which we are ensuring that we are baking for future generations. It's no secret that at Hobbs, we are always looking at ways to make more sustainable choices, but there are so many other things we are doing to build a better future.

One of these is our apprenticeship scheme, where we're training the next generation of bakers and passing on years of baking knowledge and experience. The morning was a chance to share with our customers all the ways in which we are supporting our staff, community and our planet.

It was particularly lovely to hear this reflected in our customer feedback:

"I think your ethical approach is exemplary especially regarding sourcing ingredients, apprenticeships and prisoner rehabilitation."

Of course, no Hobbs breakfast would be complete without some good food and a sneak peak at this year's Christmas range! It was a great opportunity to showcase all the wonderful products the team have been developing over the summer, ready for what we hope will be a busy festive period, as well as to hear our customers' feedback on the range.
